How inspired eating works

It’s possible to change even a lifetime of unhealthy eating habits, patterns, obsessions, rituals, neurosis and fears. It’s possible to unwind yourself from the demons that drive you to eat, and eat, and eat, even when you’re not hungry—or the equally hateful ones that make you starve, then binge, then swear off food, then do the same thing all over again.

It’s possible to get off the merry-go-round of diets that have resulted in losing the same 15 (or more) pounds again, and again, and again. I know, because I’ve done it, and I’ve seen it done again and again.

You say you want to lose ten pounds, or look hot in a bikini, or command more respect in the boardroom (or bedroom). But who is the “you” that’s dieting?

Another way to ask this is, who are you, inside your body?

That’s what we’ll look at. That’s where the rubber meets the road. And that’s where lasting change starts.

In the process, can you heal digestive issues, stop chronic dieting, end your obsession with food, and even lose that 15 pounds? Absolutely. And the good new is, you can heal them for life.

HOW SESSIONS WORK

Every session is different. Effective nutritional healing means being able to work with what’s happening in the moment and respond to shifts and changes, rather than trying to impose my own agenda or plan. In general, though, here’s how it works:

What you eat. You’ll learn about foods that give you more energy, ways to end bloating and digestive issues, harmful chemicals and toxins to avoid, and tools for eating to enhance metabolism. Because if your body and brain aren’t nourished, if your blood sugar is wildly imbalanced, if you’re eating foods that trigger sensitivities, it will sabotage any efforts you might make to end cravings and mindless eating.

Why you eat. You’ll get tools for shifting your patterns of eating—when you eat, how much you eat and how fast you eat—all of which greatly impact nutrition. And you’ll learn how to stop troubling patterns like nighttime snacking, binge eating, chronic or yo-yo dieting, overeating and emotional eating.

Additional tools. You may learn simple meditation techniques, breathing exercises or embodiment practices. We may use free-form journaling, stress-reduction techniques or supportive herbal blends. For sure, you’ll learn ways to make lasting changes in your eating habits–and your life.

And you’ll explore your inner landscape in a way that you may never have experienced before. You’ll find your true, vibrant self that’s sleeping under all the messages and heartaches and broken promises and disappointments.

We can meet for one or two sessions, you can buy a package of sessions, or we can set up a series of highly affordable telephone sessions that allow you to check in as you need on a weekly basis. It’s up to you.

It’s your journey; and ultimately, the journey to resolving food challenges becomes the journey back to yourself.
